Matrox Video, a video technology producer, has expanded its AV-over-IP line with the release of the Matrox Maevex 6152 quad-4K and Maevex 6122 dual-4K encoders, marketed for control rooms, operation centers, medical facilities and more, according to a company press release.
The Maevex encoders can deliver multiple 4K streams and recordings, offering quality levels from capture to encoding. The encoders also offer multiple streaming options, including HDCP 2.2 support, ideal for AV content distribution in control rooms, operation centers, medical environments and other critical settings.
When coupled with the Maevex 6152 decoder, this encoder/decoder pairing offers balancing of security features, low latency, quality, multi-channel support and low bit rates.
The new appliances each include an on-device LCD screen and six buttons to enable installation, streaming and recording operations directly to the hardware.
"The new Matrox Maevex 6152 and 6122 encoders offer breakthrough image quality by allowing 4Kp60 desktop operators to run video- and graphics-intensive content and applications in their native resolutions," Ron Berty, business development manager at Matrox Video, said in the release. "Along with HDCP support and Maevex 6100 Series' industry-renowned encoding capabilities, the new game-changing encoders deliver video anywhere, anytime — whether it's on local operator desks or over standard LAN connections, limited WAN pipelines and noisy or unpredictable internet networks."
