Mapco, a convenience store retail firm based in Franklin, Tennessee, is partnering with GSP, a digital signage firm based in Clearwater, Florida, to provide hardware, software and content management services in its new store launches, according to a report in cspdailynews.com.
"Mapco is a growing retailer and implementing a scalable solution for their business model required extensive collaboration and cooperation to achieve the desired result," Craig Hoss, GSP chief technology officer, said in the report.
The partnership initially covers stores opening in Alabama and Tennessee, with plans for future expansion to other Mapco operations areas, which include Georgia, Arkansas, Kentucky and Mississippi.
Hardware is based on the system-on-a-chip (SoC) model, with central, cloud-based CMS controlled by Mapco's marketing team.
Software includes GSP's proprietary AccuStore retail intelligence and CMS system, which features analytics and metrics for stocking and sales reporting.
"GSP not only delivered a new sign type to our stores, they engineered a solution for us that allows growth in our evolving initiatives," Jacquelynn Henderson, director of marketing at MAPCO, said in the report.
