Magewell intros NDI encoders for A/V over IP

Magewell recently introduced its Pro Convert HDMI TX and Pro Convert SDI TX dedicated NDI encoders for A/V-over IP workflows. The HDMI TX supports inputs up to 2048 x 1200 via HDMI 1.4, and the SDI TX supports sources up to 1080p60 over 3G-SDI, according to a press release.

The devices both include power-over-Ethernet support, program and preview tally lights and a ¼-inch to 20 thread for camera mounting. Other features include:

• Automatic input format detection.
• Browser-based interface.
• Low latency.

"The powerful and comprehensive features of our Pro Convert Plus devices have made them very popular, but many customers don't need signal loop-through connectivity nor the flexibility of switchable encoding and decoding capabilities in one box," Amy Zhou, sales director at Magewell, said in the release. "The Pro Convert TX models let us offer the same core encoding functionality at a lower price, thus making the growing ecosystem of NDI solutions more accessible to more customers than ever before."

The Pro Convert line also features other products including four Pro Convert Plus encoder/decoders and the Pro Convert AIO RX NDI decoder, according to the release.
