Macnica Technology to intro A/V over IP module

Macnica Technology is launching its MPA1000 A/V over IP module, which offers low latency IP video transport to manufacturers and A/V products. It can deliver compressed UHD 60P 4:4:4 video, audio and control over a 1GbE connection, according to a press release.

Other features of the device include:

• Integrated Web server with a RESTful API.
• NMOS IS-04/05 services to discover media traffic.
• Optional MPA1000 Development Kit.

"The development of the MPA1000 is significant in that it opens the door to new ProAV system solution opportunities and capabilities," Andrew Starks, director of product management at Macnica, said in the release. "It's one of the earliest 1GbE products to add 4K60 4:4:4 video using open standards."
