Macnica, a VOIP technology and API developer, is shipping its MEP100 SmartNIC Solution for IBC, with units already active at a major U.S.-based global broadcaster.

Macnica, a developer of VOIP technologies and API tools, has launched its MEP100 SmartNIC solution, which is now active at a major U.S.-based broadcaster, according to a press release.
The 100GB hardware device drives ST 2110 media processing, stream protection and bandwidth utilization.
"The MEP100 brings real-time reliability and performance to the ST 2110 SmartNIC market, significantly outperforming general-purpose cards that lack flexibility and advanced features," Andrew Starks, Director of Product Development at Macnica, said in the release. "Its high-efficiency FPGA design alone reduces traffic on the host computer by roughly 50 percent. The MEP100's professional feature set provides everything the developer needs to realize their visions for high-end hardware products."
