Lyle Bunn, a digital signage consultant and advisor to the industry, has release a 14-page document identifying the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the digital signage landscape.
In the report, Bunn outlines 33 key SWOT aspects existing on six primary categories of the industry, including Application Demand, Business Models, Financing, Technology, Human Resources and Efficiencies.
According to Bunn, "Each of these converges and intersects at a pivotal point defined as ‘relevance.' In delivering the presentation of content in the context of location and timing when measurable objectives can be achieved, digital signage and digital out-of-home distinguishes itself as one of the most powerful tools available to communicators."
A number of these points were addressed yesterday by Bunn in a Digital Signage Today webinar entitled "Digital Signage Future Trends." Bunn will also host the SPEED digital signage training session on Monday, Nov. 9 in New York as part of The Digital Signage Show.
The report can be downloaded here from Bunn's Web site.
