Print Week: A new digital display technology being developed by scientists in Bristol and Toronto could threaten printed billboards thanks to reduced power needs and better color handling. The technology, dubbed P-Ink, controls the color of individual pixels, while current technologies can only create color by grouping pixels in trios and applying red, green and blue filters. Displays could be up to three times brighter than predecessors and offer a much closer competitor to paper.
