Louisville visitor's center installs digital signage

February 5, 2007

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Captive Indoor Media has announced the release of a new digital-signage product designed to control video-wall configurations with up to eight screens. According to a news release, the first installation has been completed at the Louisville Convention & Visitors Bureau's Visitor Information Center.

The video wall uses eight screens in a 2-by-4 configuration that faces the street through floor-to-ceiling glass windows. The Internet-based digital-signage software provided by Captive Indoor Media allows customers to schedule content over the Web to individual screens, groups of screens or on all eight screens at once.

The software also allows live video and audio inputs to accommodate events and display them on the screens. All of the features were customized for the center.
