Lightspeed, Stayntouch partner, aim to spice up restaurant ops

Stayntouch, a cloud technology firm specializing in hospitality industry solutions, has announced the direct integration of its property management system, Stayntouch PMS, with Lightspeed's hospitality platform, Lightspeed Restaurant, according to a press release.

Lightspeed's mobile POS system aims to enhance restaurant ops for hotels and mobile dining for guests, and Stayntouch customers now have access to the system's cloud management tools for hotel restaurant locations. Designed for a variety of use cases, Lightspeed's software can integrate into multiple point-of-sale display screens, including tablets and touchscreens, and can display available tables and streamline the reservations process, in addition to integrating into kitchen signage and displaying order updates and specifications; the system can also integrate into inventory for live stock count updates, and permits online and in-house ordering by guests, including mobile interactivity using digital menus via QR codes. The system also includes data and analysis tools.

Remote management tools include floor plans, menu and payment/billing options including charge-to-room and contactless, along with order and billing from table and tools for bar and room service. The integration aims to streamline data and analytics, operations and guest experience.

"Both Lightspeed and Stayntouch seek to transform and enhance the guest experience into something that is more personalized, frictionless and in tune with how guests prefer to order, dine and pay," Peter Dougherty, hospitality GM at Lightspeed, said in the release. "Because of this strong overlap in business philosophy, it was only natural to expand our partnership with Stayntouch."
