LG wins Emmy Award for OLED

LG Electronics has won a Technology & Engineering Emmy Award for its OLED displays. The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences will honor LG Electronics with the Emmy for OLED reference monitors for creative, technical, quality control and client viewing at its 72nd Annual Technology & Engineering Emmy Awards ceremony on Oct. 10, according to a press release.

LG OLED TVs deliver accurate color reproduction and high contrast with self-lit pixels, according to the release. The company also designed it to render motion accurately.

Last year, LG also received an Emmy for co-developing and deploying HTML5.
