LG unveils education solution

LG has announced the expansion of its education solutions, including the launch of CreateBoard, a multi-function interactive education display solution, according to a press release.

The LG CreateBoard (LG model TR3DK) is a 40-point multi-touch display with updated options for 65-, 75- and 86-inch sizes along with a just-released 55-inch model. The system features live digital file notation and digital content creation, sharing and management tools, along with LG CreateBoard Lab — a workflow and content management and sharing system designed for education — and LG CreateBoard Share — a pre-installed wireless casting software designed to allow student devices or other CreateBoard displays to connect to a given display, permitting mobile interactivity with CreateBoard content and lessons. The system is designed with modular capacity; add-on peripherals include document cameras, microphones, conferencing cameras and more.

The optional LG ConnectedCare device management service allows central management of CreateBoard ecosystems at the school or district level, including announcements and emergency alerting among other management tasks.

With demos planned at the Future of Education Technology Conference in New Orleans and an upcoming CreateBoard course launching through the online LG Academy, additional training courses are planned with a third-party provider.
