LG to boost plasma screen output

Reuters UK: LG Electronics Inc. said on Sunday it would increase its plasma display panel output by 22 percent starting July by boosting productivity at its biggest production line. LG said in a statement its monthly capacity would rise to 440,000 units from 360,000 as it introduces a new glass-cutting process that produces eight plasma panels per glass substrate instead of the current six.
