LG launches LED series

August 20, 2020

LG Business Solutions has launched its LSAA LED Signage series, available initially in a 1.2-millimeter pixel pitch version, with 0.9 and 1.5-millimeter models planned for later this year. The series will feature an LED cabinet to allow users to connect multiple displays and a processor powered by AI image-processing technology used in LG 4K UHD televisions to enhance resolution, sharpness, color and contrast, according to a press release.

LG built the solution around a single LED cabinet hub to provide power and signal to the entire display without additional cabling between cabinets. Other features include:

  • Non-contact connector technology to power each display via pin connectors.
  • Onscreen user interface to simplify set-up and calibration.
  • Custom coding and interface logic to simplify integration of video conferencing and control systems.
  • Certified as EMC Class B for residential, commercial, industrial and business environments.
  • Common cathodes of LEDS are connected to a single pin to reduce power consumption.

"Addressing what customers and integrators are clamoring for, we combined stunning visual performance with incredible ease of assembly," Dan Smith, vice president, Business Development, LG Business Solutions USA, said in the release. "The LSAA series builds on LG's legacy of leadership in OLED and LCD technologies, bringing our processing technologies from premium TVs and our solution integration platforms from digital signage systems to the commercial large format market for the first time."
