LG Business Solutions is debuting a series of technology-agnostic interactive displays aimed to take teaching and learning to the next level, according to a press release. The LG TR3DJ is available in 65-, 75- and 86-inch models which ensure students can view educational presentations in a socially distanced approach, and also support virtually any learning system a school deploys for in-person as well as hybrid/remote learning, according to a press release.
"As schools welcome students back into classrooms, many are also in a technology refresh cycle, seeking ways to enable interactive learning without tying their IT departments to any single platform, and doing it in a way that puts the latest tools in the hands of the most students and teachers," Victoria Sanville, education account lead at LG Business Solutions USA, said in the release.
The displays work with any software in place, according to the release.
"Teachers can display, annotate and share content from a wide variety of sources, while technology managers will appreciate the devices' plug-and-play ease of deployment," said Sanville in the release.
All three displays feature IPS display panels for wide viewing angles and 4K Ultra HD resolution for presenting detailed content at a large scale.
The company said the TR3DJ series' 20-point, multi-touch surface makes it easy to collaborate on-screen, while the 1mm gap between the IPS screen and anti-glare, tempered glass screen helps assure highly precise touch and on-screen writing experiences. Each TR3DJ interactive display is available with two stylus pens in differing colors and tip sizes, allowing users to draw or write simultaneously.
The TR3DJ series comes embedded with the Android 8.0 OS and is compatible with other major operating systems. Each is WiFi-enabled for connectivity out of the box.
"With these new models, LG now has a full family of classroom products that support a wide variety of pedagogies while remaining budget-friendly for schools trying to do the most for students in challenging times," Sanville said in the release. "The interactivity offered by the TR3DJ series is especially important now as students get back to normal and rediscover learning alongside their peers."
