LG recently deployed a 2,200-square foot direct view LED display at the Maple Leaf Square stadium, the Toronto home of the hockey team the Toronto Maple Leafs and the NBA team the Toronto Raptors. The company partnered with Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment to deploy this 62-by-25-foot display, which features a 6-millimeter pixel pitch and 1,269 modules housed in 168 cabinets, according to a press release.
Each cabinet has an IP-66 rating to ensure protection from the elements. Each of the modules also comes with a chipset to offer rich, saturated colors and high brightness.
"LG has been a trusted MLSE partner for 10 years and has helped us provide an exceptional experience to our fans through their products," Jeff Deline, chief revenue officer, MLSE, said in the release. "With the installation of the new LG outdoor screen, our fans' outdoor viewing experience at Maple Leaf Square and Jurassic Park will continue to be one of the best places to watch the game."
