LG christens launch of cruise ship DVLED displays

LG Business Solutions USA has launched the GNEB product family, a line of DVLED displays focusing on outdoor ship areas for the cruise ship industry, according to a press release.
The line is designed for 24 hour use in all lighting conditions, including direct sunlight and night-time settings, with up to 6,000 nits in maximum brightness and IP67 certification for weatherproofing, along with compatibility for LG tools like SuperSign, LED Assistant and ConnectedCare via optional LG CVEA system controller.
"LG's marine-grade DVLED technology is the ideal outdoor display medium because it can produce bright images and has the contrast necessary for watching videos in direct sunlight," Jake Benner, director for hospitality, cruise and fitness at LG, said in the release. "The GNEB is easy to maintain thanks to a module-based construction. Outdoor areas on cruise ships can now be outfitted with movie-theater sized displays, while providing optimal performance day in and day out regardless of how salty, wet, or unpredictable the environment is."
