Leyard Europe names interim CEO

Visualization product company Leyard has named current Europe COO Thorsten Lipp as COO and acting CEO of Leyard Europe, along with its companies, Planar, eyevis and Teracue.

Before joining the company last November, Lipp was an executive board member of Production Resource Group Germany, which provides tech and services for live events and entertainment. He was responsible for the corporate events and trade fairs segment, in addition to leading PRG's Lab unit, acording to a press release.

Lipp was also co-founder and managing director of XL Solutions , a part of XL Video Group which was acquired by PRG in 2015. His experience in audiovisual production, event technology, sales and management was cited as an asset for his interim CEO responsibilities. 

Lipp's appointment enhances the company's operational leadership of its new Prešov, Slovakia factory, which opened in 2017 and is enabling Leyard
