Leyard and Planard, a Leyard Co. recently deployed LED displays for Providence Park, the Portland home of the Portland Timbers of Major League Soccer and Portland Thorns FC of the National Women's Soccer League. The company provided six Lighthouse LED video screens, video walls and a scoreboard, according to a press release.

The scoreboard measures 76-feet wide by 25-feet tall and is made of 10-millimeter pixel pitch LED video screens. Leyard and Planar also installed a secondary scoreboard measuring 46-feet wide by 16-feet tall made of 10-millimeter pixel pitch LED video screens in the northwest portion of the stadium. Other displays in the stadium include:

  • Two LED video walls with 16-millimeter pixel pitch in stadium's east end built as LED ribbons.
  • An LED video wall measuring 18-feet wide by 42-feet tall with a 10-millimeter pixel pitch on the stadium's south elevator.
  • 18-feet wide by 20-feet tall video wall made of Leyard's CarbonLight CLO Series LED video screens with 7.8-millimeter pixel pitch on the northeast elevator shaft.
  • More than 87 Planar LCD displays throughout the stadium.

"We were fortunate to have many local companies be part of the historic transformation of Providence Park," Mike Golub, president of business for the Timbers and Thorns FC, said in the release. "Leyard and Planar played a critical role in making sure that our fans have an immersive game experience from the time they enter the stadium until the time they leave."
