Duke University, based in Durham, North Carolina, is partnering with Leyard and Planar, a Leyard Company, and TV1 to deploy touchscreen displays to its newest building, the Karsh Alumni and Visitors Center. These displays are powered by TV1 interactive software, which can deliver personalized content, according to a press release.
Leyard and Planar provided an interactive touchscreen wall measuring 6.5-feet tall and 24.5-feet wide that offers content on Duke's history, future and notable alumni. The company also provided smaller displays throughout the center.
When users download the TV1 app, the display's software can deliver personal content based on the user's name, class year and other information.
"We are thrilled to partner with T1V to bring our alumni such a rich, personalized experience," Sterly Wilder, associate vice president of Duke Alumni Affairs, said in the release. "These touchscreen walls really tell the story of Duke, place alumni in that story and provide inspiration as they start their campus journey. We can’t wait to see visitors experience it for themselves."
