Lenoir-Rhyne University, based in Hickory, North Carolina, has launched a digital signage makeover in partnership with Daktronics for the 2022-2023 school year, according to a press release.
The project scope includes eight LED displays spread across the Moretz football stadium, the Shuford basketball gym and the Durham baseball field, of which Moretz Stadium and Shuford Gym have just announced completion.
The football field features two weather-proofed, 13HD end zone LED displays. The basketball gym features LED video displays at each end along with three scorers' tables. The baseball field is planned to include a main centerfield LED display with weatherproofing. All displays allow variable content zoning and include content management and support by Daktronics Creative Services.
"At the forefront of all three renovations was a commitment to an enhanced game-day experience and Daktronics has helped us to deliver on that commitment," Justin Hay, senior associate athletic director at Lenoir-Rhyne, said in the release. "The addition of these video boards along with their functionality allows us to bring an entirely new experience to our game-day environment for our fans and student-athletes."
