Darrin Thurston has been named chief technology officer at Legrand | AV.
The role is newly created and illustrates the company's commitment to innovation, portfolio growth and its 2030 strategic program, according to a press release.
Thurstson formerly served as VP and GM of Vaddio and Luxul. In his CTO role he will lead the company's global technology strategy, including portfolio expansion, strategic partnerships, and evaluation of potential mergers and acquisitions.
"Darrin's deep technical expertise and strategic insight make him the right leader to help accelerate our growth in connected and high-value customer segments," Pam Hoppel, president of Legrand | AV, said in the release. "This move reinforces our tailored solution approach by ensuring continued focus on developing connectivity-enabled AV products and driving growth through innovation and strategic acquisitions."
In conjunction with Thurston's appointment, Mark Plummer has been promoted to vice president and GM, connected platforms and ecosystems. Nathan Bohl has been promoted to vice president and GM, display infrastructure. Gary Hess will transition into a new role as vice president and GM, power, access and control.
