The Los Angeles Football Club and BMO Stadium partnered with SNA Displays to retrofit two freestanding LED pylons in Southern California.

The custom, multi-sided LED billboards are located along Interstate 110 in Los Angeles near BMO Stadium and serve as an extension of LAFC's branding and messaging, according to a press release.

Media company Kevani manages advertising on both platforms and dubbed the pair of digital-out-of-home pylons as The Towers, which combined, receive an estimated 273 million audited impressions each month.

"LAFC is proud to team with SNA Displays to deliver cutting-edge visual technology on The Towers digital displays," Ryan Bishara, LAFC's executive vice president of revenue and data strategy, said in the release. "Their state-of-the-art displays provide exceptional visibility and reach, helping our partners at KEVANI connect advertisers with audiences and fans across Los Angeles and beyond."

The two billboards are built with LED video technology from SNA Displays' 10 mm Empire Exterior series and are viewable to north and southbound traffic along I-110.

One of The Towers is located just east of BMO Stadium on the northbound side of I-110. The other display is just north of the interchange between I-110 and I-10/Santa Monica Fwy near the LA Convention Center and Crypto.com Arena.

"This upgrade reflects Kevani and SNA Displays' shared commitment to developing world-class media platforms that deliver impact, efficiency and performance," Thimio Sotos, COO/CFO at Kevani, said in the release.

Both billboard spectaculars have three assembled faces: two main 50-foot high x 42-foot wide screens and a 9-foot by 5-inch wide "spine" for a continuous content experience with viewing access from all directions. Combined, The Towers contain about 9,400 square feet of digital canvas and process more than 8.7 million pixels (1,536 x 2,848 each).

The high-profile retrofits required a great deal of expertise and attention to detail, according to Anne St. Mauro, SNA Displays' vice president of project management.

"With billboards of this stature and complexity it was critical that we matched the existing primary structure perfectly," St. Mauro said in the release. "We used small cabinets instead of our typical large subframes in order to precisely match the structural steel in place. This and other challenges were met by our team to produce beautiful, eye-catching video platforms that will serve LAFC and BMO Stadium well for many years."

SNA Displays employed PS Services for installation work.

BMO Stadium is home to Major League Soccer's Los Angeles Football Club and the National Women's Soccer League's Angel City FC. The stadium is next to LA Memorial Coliseum in South Los Angeles.
