Kotsovolos-Dixons South East Europe has partnered with Martech's AI startup Displayforce to target advertising and customize shopping experiences for customers in its retail electronics stores, according to a press release.
The partnership also provided real time COVID information to customers, in addition to personalized messages and promotions. As regulations like the GDPR tighten on third-party data, Displayforce says its "store as media" approach aims to leverage first-party data in a privacy-respectful way to tailor custom experiences in brick and mortar DOOH.
"At the end of 2021, Displayforce launched a proof-of concept project with Kotsovolos-Dixons South East Europe, a top retail chain in Greece and Cyprus," Serge Gale, CEO and co-founder at Displayforce, said in the release. "The company reinforced brand stands in 11 Kotsovolos stores with smart cameras powered by sophisticated algorithms. Based on age, gender, hairstyle, beard status and accessories, the customers receive personalized content on 17 screens in the store's brand zones and health safety advice depending on the use of a face mask."
The smart cameras can also measure customer counts along with dwell time and emotions, according to the release.
