Key Digital launches HDBaseT/HDMI extender kit

Key Digital recently launched its KD-SX440WP wall plate HDBaseT/HDMI extender kit. The kit can extend 4K signals up to 230 feet using a single CAT5e/6 cable, according to a press release.

The kit is an all-in-one presentation switcher, scaler and extender. It can extend A/V, IR and RS-232 signals. Other features include:

• Can extend 1080p and 1920 by 1200 signals up to 328 feet.
• Audio switching and analog video scaling.
• HDCP 2.2 compliant.

"KD-SX440WP is an amazingly simple switcher extender and even a scaler that has been so well received in classroom applications. With this wall plate you can have VGA in with analogue audio and HDMI. After plugging in, the teacher or presenter just has to press one button and is able to choose between their two sources," Jonathon Ferry, training manager for Key Digital, said in the release. "This product is very easy for even non-tech savvy end-users to understand. Key Digital really kept the end user in mind when engineering this pragmatic product."
