Kaynes Technology launches robust single board computer for digital signage, kiosks

Kaynes Technology India Ltd., an embedded design services company, has launched its Skate-212 single board computer. This 50-Pin computer is designed for digital signage, kiosks, industrial automation, conferencing and more, according to a press release.

The computer is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 processor and features Wi-Fi, HDMI, Audio, Micro SD, Ethernet, USB, Compass and other peripherals. Other features include:

• Operating temperature of -30 to 85 degrees Celsius.
• Available with preloaded Android 7.0 Nougat or Linux.
• Measures 90 by 70 millimeters.
• Comes with camera interface
• And houses a Qualcomm Hexgon DSP and a Qualcomm Adreno 304 GPU for graphics processing.

"Skate Board is a tiny single board computer designed with Snapdragon 212 processor and it is Kaynes Technology’s maiden product on Snapdragon platform. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 processor is a cost-effective solution for driving innovation beyond the smartphone and is powering the next generation of high-tech devices, making them become aware, connected, intelligent and interactive," Jim Cathey, senior vice president of Asia Pacific and president of India, Qualcomm Technologies, said in the release.
