Ka-Ro recently introduced its TX8M system-on-module, based on the NXP Semiconductor 1.MX 8M Mini processor. The TX8M can enable edge computing for internet-of-things solutions, image processing and AI, according to a press release.
Ka-Ro built the device with four Arm Cortex A53 cores operating at 1.6 GHz for industrial products. It can handle temperatures ranging from -25 to 85-degrees Celsius. Other features include:
Ka-Ro also offers a TX8M Development Kit, which comes with the module, a development baseboard with schematics and a 10.1-inch display with capacitive touch support and a Linus 4.13 Board Support Package, according to the release. Customers can also find source code for the BSP and bootloader on Ka-Ro's GitHub site.
