Intersection, an OOH media and tech firm, has partnered with Minnesota's Metro Transit to deploy digital bus shelters.
The partnership will include deployment of 12 digital bus shelters throughout the Minneapolis and St. Paul region, according to a press release, with digital shelters featuring 75-inch digital signage screens.
The partners have plans for a total of 40 digital bus shelters to be deployed over the next six months in the Twin Cities area.
"Enhancing everyday experiences in cities is core to our mission," Scott Goldsmith, president and COO at Intersection, said in the release. "The ability to deliver real-time customer information in more locations and to deliver more impactful advertising that will generate incremental revenue is a testament to the future-focused nature of our longstanding relationship with Metro Transit."
"These digital screens support our larger effort to provide riders accurate real-time information in a variety of ways while at the same time generating revenue that supports transit operations across the region," Lesley Kandaras, general manager at Metro Transit, said in the release.
