According to Mashable, hip flip-flop brand Havaianas is using digital signage at Bloomingdale's in New York City to let customers design and order their own version of the popular sandals.
The store's windows are being turned into interactive displays that passersby can walk up to and tap through the ordering process, just as they would on the company's website. Customers can choose the color of the flip-flop sole, straps, and decorations. The displays then send out a confirmation number via a QR code or SMS, and customers have the option of either paying when they make their order, or inside the store. Once inside, the newly designed slip-ons can be picked up from a sales associate.
