Intel India launches in-taxi digital signage with Meru Cabs

August 26, 2010

According to India's The Economic Times, Intel India recently launched new digital signage devices in Meru Cabs taxis embedded with Intel chips.

Meru Cabs vice president Gavin Dabreo joined Intel senior vice president and general manager, sales and marketing group, Thomas Kilroy to announce the launch of India's first Mobile Digital Signage (MDS) solution in partnership with iWave Systems Technologies and based on the embedded Intel Atom processor. The companies say the screens in Meru Cabs will allow advertisers to target passengers with dynamic content, creating a new context for interactive and more intuitive interaction with brands. Meru Cabs is expected to launch this Intel based MDS system by the end of this year.
