InFocus Corp, a display solutions company, recently partned with Aopen, a Chrome device manufacturer, to launce its JTouch Chrome 70 interactive whiteboard display. This touchscreen display is designed specifically for the U.S. and Australian education markets, according to a press release.
This solution integrates the 70-inc InFocus JTouch with Aopen's Commercial Chromebox. It is ultra-thin, fanless and supports Android applications. The companies designed this solution to make it easy for teachers to teach with the same software and tools they would use on smaller electronic devices, according to the release.
"Google Chrome is a huge part of the teaching and learning experience, with Chromebooks dominating the classroom, but until now there were no large size Chrome-based touchscreens," Mark Housely, CEO, InFocus, said in the release. "By partnering with AOPEN and leveraging our years of experience working with teachers and students, InFocus is bringing K-12 schools the large, interactive Chrome solutions that educators have been asking for."
AOPEN is an Acer Group company that specializes in small form factor commercial, medical, and industrial computing, as well as touch display technology for digital signage, kiosks and POS solutions as a leading global hardware manufacturer.
