At this year's InfoComm in Las Vegas, technology and pro AV distributor Almo Professional A/V brought back its art gallery-themed exhibit booth to show off the ways it can integrate its partners' digital signage offerings — but this year it added a twist, designing all the content itself.
Almo earlier this year launched its new Content Creation Services Program for digital signage, interactive and video production as another way to provide revenue opportunities for its AV installer and integrator partners. The new services allow Almo partners to offer content creation as part of the initial installation and the ongoing maintenance package to include in a sale.
According to feedback from Almo's resellers, digital signage hardware and software availability was fine, but there was one thing missing, Almo Business Development Manager Brian Rhatigan said at the show.
"The stumbling block seemed to be, 'Where do we get good content?'" he said.
So, Almo has partnered with a content provider with a full design studio to offer a white-labelled content service that its resellers can include as a simple SKU on their invoices, he said. The company also has set up a microsite within its website that resellers can link to.
"We think it fills kind of a big hole," he said. "And it gives our resellers an extra revenue stream."
Almo Pro AV is the largest value-added North American Professional AV distributor, offering its reseller partners the most expansive range of products, managed services, technical support, and training to drive business growth and generate profits.
