At InfoComm in Las Vegas today, professional display and digital signage solutions provider Panasonic announced three new lines of professional LCD displays, including the LED 55-inch LFV50, the company's first video wall product, the 70- and 80-inch LED LF50 Series, and the LF5, an entry-level digital signage LCD display.
LFV50
Panasonic's first LED video wall display features an ultra-narrow bezel for near seamless video wall installation, and the 55-inch LFV50 display delivers 800 cd/m2 brightness, even in well-lit areas, making it suitable for a multitude of digital signage, public information, and command and control applications for use in transportation hubs, retail centers, corporate lobbies and more, the company said. It also features lower power consumption via an automatic dimmer that reacts to surrounding ambient light. When mounted bezel-to-bezel, the displays' screen-to-screen distance measures 5.3 mm, and the displays are designed to work in both portrait and landscape orientations. Users can daisy-chain the displays via DVI-D for easy digital loop-through of the video signal for up to a five-by-five video wall, and features RS232C I/O control. The TH-55LFV50 will ship in November 2012.
LF50 Series
At 70 and 80 inches, the LF50 Series is the largest LED LCD Panasonic has ever offered. The 700 cd/m2 t displays are aimed at customers looking for a bright digital signage solution with that "wow" factor. With SLOT 2.0 architecture, the LF50 offers the expandability to run even the most robust software to meet diverse customer needs in such applications as showrooms, retail, transportation terminals and auditoriums, the company said. The LF50 Series can be used in portrait and landscape orientations, and also features a space-saving design with a thinner depth than previous LF Series models. Its light weight also makes it ideal for ceiling-suspension for greater installation flexibility. TH-70LF50 and TH-80LF50 will be shipping in Q4 2012.
LF5 Series
Along with Full-HD resolution and a wide viewing angle, the LF5 Series features a slim bezel only 0.7 inches (18mm) in width, 500 cd/m2 brightness, external control (RS-232C) and VESA mounting, and displays crisp, clear images even in bright places. Both the 42- and 47-inch models are entry-level devices for those needing a reliable and rugged display for a simple digital signage application. TH-42LF5 and TH-47LF5 will be available in July 2012
