InfoComm Academy announces Lyle Bunn as adjunct faculty

February 14, 2008

FAIRFAX, Va.  InfoComm International, a trade association for the professional audiovisual and information communications industries, has announced that Lyle Bunn of Bunn Co. has been awarded status as an adjunct faculty instructor for InfoComm Academy.

The Faculty Program was created to recognize the contributions of its corps of instructors and to contribute to their professional development. In doing so, InfoComm provides students with training from the industry's technical experts. Faculty members are nominated by the InfoComm Professional Education and Training Committee (PETC), with final selections made by the association's Board of Governors.
As adjunct faculty, Bunn is required to present at least two hours of instruction a year. In recognition of his adjunct status, Bunn is bestowed a certificate of honor.

Courses are taken online, at the Fairfax, Virginia, headquarters, around the world, and at the InfoComm trade show, which will be held this year June 14-20, 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Last year's Show saw more than 8,600 course registrations. On any given day there are more than 3,000 students enrolled in InfoComm training and certification.

"The InfoComm Academy program was developed by the AV industry to compile and promote the industry's vast body of knowledge and develop best practices in order to advance the skills of industry professionals," said Melissa Taggart, InfoComm senior vice president, Education, Certification and Standards. "Thanks to the contributions and expertise of our faculty, InfoComm is continuing to provide the audiovisual industry with quality training that stays ahead of technology trends and is of value to both the AV industry and the people who use our systems to communicate."
