Indiana Toll Road to deploy Extreme Networks digital speed limit signs

The Indiana Toll Road Concession Co. recently deployed Extreme Networks Inc.'s software solution to offer real-time updates on traffic patterns. The ITRCC also plans to use digital speed limit signs that adjust based on the weather and other conditions, according to a press release.

With Extreme Network's solution, the ITRCC has been able to reduce traffic incidents by 30%, since it can more easily identify bottlenecks and boost operational efficiency.

"Our core mission is ensuring a safe travel experience for our community. We don't want to have to worry about networking and device management — and with Extreme, we don't have to," Juan Ignacio Gomez, chief information officer, ITRCC, said in the release. "Since deploying Extreme Networks, we've experienced immediate benefits in streamlined operations, enhanced bandwidth and greater security. As a result, our team finally has the time to innovate and tackle forward-looking opportunities that weren't possible before, such as connected vehicles and advanced automation."
