Icron, a ExtremeUSB-C extension technology provider, has unveiled its USB 3-2-1 Starling 3521C Extender. This device requires no direct or alternating current connections to power a downstream device, according to a press release.

This device offers a 10-meter extension range with a detachable custom copper cable. It comes in CM and plenum-rated variants for routing through plenum spaces.

"The USB 3-2-1 Starling 3251C represents a whole new class of fixed-range USB extension from Icron," Thomas Schultz, senior business manager, Icron, said in the release. "With the lower cost of ownership and high-demand features like USB bus power and plenum rating, as well as Icron's known reputation for USB device interoperability, Icron is proud to offer integrators a reliable solution for short distances."
