IAdea tackles the bear, inks distribution deal for Russia

Digital signage player and integrated display developer IAdea has announced that AV equipment distributor and integrator AUVIX has become an official IAdea distributor in the Russian Federation.

IAdea develops specialized commercial network media players and signboards that consolidate media players and displays in one hardware solution developed for digital signage applications. Its products support the W3C SMIL open platform and the HTML5 content standard.

The fast-growing and dynamically developing digital signage industry is strategically important for AUVIX, the announcement said, and the company already has announced the establishment of a Digital Signage Center of Excellence. The goal of the Center is to help the company's partners and end-customers to efficiently and rapidly adopt and implement the latest developments in the digital signage sector. "Professional products offered by IAdea complement AUVIX's portfolio and support the company's intended development," said Alexander Pivovarov, head of the Digital Signage Solutions department. "Moreover, it is equally important for us that IAdea is focused and willing to take an active part in the development of the Digital Signage market in Russia."

Built according to the open industry standards such as W3C SMIL and HTML5, IAdea said its solutions can be deployed for a variety of applications — from simple solutions for small shops to large digital signage networks. IAdea players also are supported by digital signage content management software providers such as Scala and Stinova.

MegaFon, the second largest mobile phone operator and the fourth largest telecom operator in Russia, already has selected IAdea full-HD media players for the installation of digital signage systems in their retail stores all over Russia, according to the announcement.
