Howie Mandel, a star of America's Got Talent and an advisor to Proto Hologram, made an appearance at JFK airport via Proto Hologram and interacted with airport travelers, according to a press release and video shared with this publication.

The event was part of a newly announced series of surprise visits by the celebrity planned for the airport, which coincide with expanded live content in the Proto installation, which includes presentations by Jim Breheny, director at the Bronx Zoo, in which Breheny introduces sloths, alligators, pelicans, and warthogs.

"Excited about traveling through JFK Terminal 4 today. My airline of choice is Proto," Mandel said in the release. "I love to travel without traveling — Beam me there!"

"There's something like magic that happens when people see Proto holograms for the first time," David Nussbaum, inventor and CEO at Proto Inc., said in the release. "At JFK Terminal 4, the whole world is stopping by and having this experience every day. To see the New York area's best people and places represented in our devices in this amazing space really is a dream come true."
