The Vogue Multicultural Museum has updated its marquee with LED video technology from SNA Displays.
The museum was a former historic film venue located on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles, California.
The 50-foot-long LED marquee faces Hollywood Blvd. and sports a 6.6 mm pixel pitch. Out-of-home specialists Orange Barrel Media operates screen content on behalf of the museum, according to a press release. Yesco provided LED installation services.
The LED marquee is comprised of three sections made from SNA Displays Empire Exterior video technology. Two of the faces, both measuring 6 foot 4 inches x 18 foot 11 inches (288 x 864 pixels), protrude from the façade at a 128-degree angle on the awning over the main doors. The smallest section, 4 foot 9 inches x 12 foot 7 inches (216 x 576), is mounted flush against the building's façade.
"The Vogue Theatre is an iconic piece of Hollywood history," Pete Simon, director of OOH for SNA Displays, said in the release. "This digital facelift, which upgrades the building via state-of-the-art technology while respecting the original architecture, will help the museum attract visitors and open up new revenue streams."
