Heraeus GmbH, a polymer material provider, and SigmaSense, a touch sensing solutions provider, have partnered to launch a 65-inch PEDOT polymer touch sensor. The senor combines SigmaSense's touch controller with Heraeus' Clevios PEDOT:PSS coatings, according to a press release.

The Clevios coatings do not add any haze to the films, thus it provides better optical clarity to the touch sensor regardless of viewing angle or brightness. It also features ultra-low light reflection and mechanical flexibility for small bezels.

SigmaSense also provided its current mode analog to digital converter to deliver better signal-to-noise, according to the release.

"SigmaSense delivers an unparalleled new sensing technology that can drive our higher resistance conductive polymers in touch sensors at sizes over 65-inches," Armin Sautter, head of technical service display, Heraeus, said in the release. "The SigmaSense touch controller unleashes our optically superior sensor technology for use in markets that were not possible in the past."
