The Perimeter Church is John Creeks, Georgia recently renovated its sanctuary with three NanoSlim displays from NanoLumens as the company recently highlighted this change as an example of houses of worship modernizing how they interact with their congregations.
NanoLumens helped the 5,000-member church install two floating 19-foor by 11-foot NanoSlim Engage 2.5-mm pixel-pitch screens on either side of Perimeter's stage and 40-foot by 20-foot 6-mm screen behind the stage.
"The NanoSlim LED displays are so much cleaner and brighter than the previous technology [projector screens]," Arch Nelson, southeast regional sales director for NanoLumens, said in a press release. "The images shown on each solution during services and other events are visibly more vibrant, enhancing the overall atmosphere of the sanctuary. For example, each pixel can play a combination of 16-million colors. The three NanoLumens solutions are changing the way Perimeter Church conceives of and performs all of its religious services and special events."
The church made the switch to LED screens because the large windows in the building had to be covered during sermons to preserve the color and quality of the projected image, the release said.
"Rear projection takes up too much valuable stage space and interferes with back lighting of musicians, talent and set pieces," said Steve Simmons, the church's director of technical ministry. "And unless there is enough fly space or ceiling height, front projection creates beams that, when passing through people and stage elements, create shadows. The NanoLumens LED display solutions not only overcome these problems, but also have many added benefits."
