Helius launches digital signage content authoring program

LINDON, Utah — Helius Inc. has announced the launch of Helius MediaAuthor, a rapid-authoring software solution for digital signage content creation. MediaAuthor works with Microsoft PowerPoint and allows users to create professional digital signage content in a matter of minutes. MediaAuthor is designed to be coupled with a Helius Media Player (SST-Mi or SST-Si).
MediaAuthor combines rapid-authoring technology, obtained from the acquisition of the PointeCast Corporation. Users can select from professional templates, add graphics, text and animations, record or import audio files and then instantly publish from a menu in PowerPoint to the media player.
Typical applications for MediaAuthor include: lobby displays, hotel and entertainment venues, conference rooms, elevators, restaurant displays, retail outlets, transportation information, automobile dealerships and many more.
Kim Clark, senior vice president of engineering and CTO for Helius, described the product as an entry level solution targeted at organizations looking to quickly create content using standard business tools.
