The LED China 2015 exhibition in Shanghai was blanketed by high-definition LED displays, from interactive LED screens to control room video walls, with several exhibitors' screens driven by the Hawkeye Solution Platform from Macroblock, according to an announcement from Macroblock.

For optimum LED visual experiences, displays must adapt to various brightness conditions and to wide ranges of grayscale images, the company said. Macroblock launched its Hawkeye Solution Platform to deliver positive multiplier effects on high-definition LED displays, the company said, with a short video introduction shown at Macroblock and Hawkeye Solution Platform partner booths (Unilumin, LianTronics, Lamp and Lightking).

The platform is a combination of LED driver IC and peripheral IC designed to improve the visual performance of high-definition LED displays — and to resolve the three major visual problems of ghosting effects, high-contrast interference and bright lines/cross lines caused by dead LED pixels — the company said.
