Halo DTLA, a dining destination in downtown Los Angeles that blends dining, art exhibits and cultural attractions, has installed five interactive wayfinding kiosks in partnership with specialty integrator Red Dot Digital Media Inc. and custom AV solutions firm LightWerks, according to a press release.
With an eye to aesthetic appeal, the custom kiosks use 37-inch slim DynaScan High Brightness Displays, which include custom interactive touch overlays driven by BrightSign media players using Carousel's CMS software, and the kiosks are encased with brushed stainless steel.
Red Dot created content using Carousel CMS software and custom HTML programming, including passive content like upcoming events information along with directory, wayfinding and events information for user sessions; a custom system allows Halo DTLA staff to update business information as needed without having to use specialized software.
