GoVision adds VP to head sales and social media

GoVision L.P., a provider of LED video walls and mobile units, recently announced the appointment of Scott McKinnon, an 18-year veteran with several global technology companies, as company vice president and partner.

McKinnon was recruited to oversee all aspects of GoVision’s sales and marketing activities, as well as serving in a key management role on both day-to-day and strategic operations of the company, GoVision says in the announcement.

"It’s become clear that as GoVision has continued to expand our client accounts, operational equipment and staff, I couldn’t keep up with everything any longer," GoVision CEO Chris Curtis said. "Scott is going to be a critical partner to me, and an invaluable asset to our organization, both from a management perspective and in several key areas where his expertise will make us an even stronger competitor."

McKinnon brings nearly two decades of experience in developing, building and managing successful sales models and teams with direct and indirect sales forces, resulting in high growth, market share gains and increased earnings.

In addition to his management roles, McKinnon has taken direct responsibility for a new social media initiative. He is in the process of revamping the company’s website and launching a more robust online presence through Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube and other cutting-edge social networking platforms.

"While we will continue to enhance and expand our traditional marketing efforts, it’s clear that social media offers creative new ways to reach our customers and prospective customers," McKinnon said. "We have some exciting plans up our sleeves that we believe will catapult us to a new level of online visibility."
