Georgetown University, a Jesuit Catholic university in Washington D.C., recently installed multiple interactive displays from LG Business Solutions for its Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarship. The company provided two 75-inch 4K interactive touch displays and two 86-inch 4K interactive displays, according to a press release.
In addition to the displays, the university also deployed Logitech cameras, bi-amp ceiling speakers and microphone arrays for Zoom sessions. All of the hardware is controlled via a Crestron control system and touch panel, which professors can use to push presentations to individual displays and control it from the touch panel.
"If you're familiar with most control systems, you basically need to leave that software to launch a Zoom session. That's not practical for the people using the room," Andy Bukowski, systems designer at CTSI, said in the release. "We worked with Crestron and Zoom to modify the application programming interface and create intuitive buttons, so it felt seamless as the professor transitioned to conferences."
