Gefen unveils three new connectivity tools

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Connectivity solutions provider Gefen has announced the availability of three new solutions designed for audio/video systems using the component video format. Designed for digital signage applications and high profile audio/video installations, all three solutions perform two functions in a single-box solution.
The 4x4 Component Audio over CAT5 Matrix enables a direct connection between any four component video sources and four displays while supporting digital and analog audio inputs and outputs. Individual receivers located at any of the remote displays connect back to the source using just one CAT5 cable. Up to 300 meters may be traversed with a perfect replication of audio and video resolutions to 1080p.
Two new distribution amplifiers enable audio/video systems using the component format to split and deliver two or four identical signals. Optional extension of both audio and video up to 300 meters at 1080p full HD using industry-standard CAT5 cable makes these distribution amps applicable for new or retrofit installations.
