Gefen now shipping AV over IP products

Gefen has expanded its Gen 2.0 AV over IP product line with the EXT-UHD- LANS-TX, EXT-UHD- LANS-RX, EXT-UHDKA- LANS-TX and EXT-UHDKA- LANS-RX models. These products are built to improve AV extension and management in environments for workplaces and educational facilities, according to a press release.

The UHDKA-LANS-TX sender and UHDKA-LANS-RX receiver offer KVM functionality, as well as real-time keyboard and mouse control of each source from all workstations. The receiver supports video wall configurations up to 16x16. Both devices are powered by power-over-ethernet and are compatible with the EXT-CU-LAN Matric Controller for automatic system configuration.

The UHD-LANS-TX sender and EUHD-LANS-RX receiver are built specifically for installations that only need HDMI and control connectivity.

These four products all provide an output resolution of 4K at 40 Hertz. Customers can use Gefen's DVI to HDMI cables to offer HD resolution for single link DVI sources, according to the release.
