Gefen launches KVM over IP receiver unit

Gefen recently launched its 4K DisplayPort KVM over IP receiver unit (EXT-DPKA-LAN-RX) as part of its AV over IP line. Customers can use these products to extend and distribute 4K DisplayPort, USB, RS-232, IR and two-way radio over a local area network, according to a press release.

Gefen's device can output 4K resolution at 30 Hertz at 4:4:4. The receiver also comes with a built-in scaler and a video wall controller that can handle screen configurations up to 16 by 16. Other features include:

  • Supports HDCP 2.2 and 1.4.
  • Built-in two-port Gigabit switch.
  • Two USB 2.0 and two USB 1.1 ports for touch panels, keyboard and mouse.
  • KM emulation for simultaneous keyboard and mouse control.

"With the greatly expanded array of Gefen Gen 2.0 AV over IP products, we can now fully address the ever-growing needs of systems integrators," Jason Fitzgerald, product manager, Gefen said in the release. "The new DisplayPort KVM Receiver follows suit with all other A/V over IP Gen 2 products in the line by providing enhanced performance, new features and expanded functionality."
