GDS unveils new digital screens for outdoor use

CHESHIRE, U.K. — Global Display Solutions announced the expansion of its MiDAS digital signage solution with the introduction of an option-based embedded PC and wireless connectivity for both its LCD MiDAS32 and MiDAS46 models. The new embedded PC and wireless connectivity eliminate the need for cabling, and integrate both the monitor and the PC within the same thermally-managed IP65 enclosure. The enclosure protects the system from harsh conditions such as extreme temperatures, weather and pollution which can often cause connectivity problems.

The MiDAS large screen LCDs have been further enhanced with built-in technology including RJ45ethernet connectivity, configurable PC with optional hard drive, compact flash and either Wi-Fi or GSM wireless connection.

Featuring full sunlight capabilities and a weatherproof sealed casing, GDS's MiDAS displays are ideal for outdoor applications such as passenger information displays, theme parks, outdoor malls and general outdoor advertising. The rugged devices include full weatherproofing, full sunlight readability and anti-vandal casing.
