Film festival to run exclusively on digital signage

January 8, 2009

ISTANBUL, Turkey — Anbean.org will host an "Ultra Short Film Festival" called ART BY CHANCE which will feature 30 second films show exclusively on digital signage networks. The films will be aired throughout the month on May on screens in 26 cities in six countries including the U.S., U.K., Canada, Turkey, The Netherlands and Germany.
Filmmakers, both amateur and professional, are encouraged to submit 30-second movies to Anbean by March 20, 2009. The festival is open to to movies of all kinds including fiction, animation, documentary and video art with the exception of training and advertising films. All movies should center on this year's theme, "More about the journey than the destination."
"Besides its global dimension, ART BY CHANCE is also unique because the selected short movies will be presented to the public through the advertising screens instead of movie theatres," said Yener Ozgur Ozaydin, managing partner at Anbean. "ART BY CHANCE will present urban dwellers with stimulating content, thus coloring the time slices that are usually considered dead."
